What Trades Can I Learn at an Illinois Trade School?

We offer two career-focused certificate programs, both built on a hands-on philosophy: 70% of instruction takes place in the lab or shop, not a lecture hall.

HVAC/R Program: Students complete structured modules covering residential and light commercial heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical systems. Training includes refrigeration fundamentals, refrigerant blends and oils, compressors, metering devices, defrost controls, brazing, soldering, pipe threading, and duct fabrication. Graduates earn an EPA Section 608 Universal License and an R-410A Safety Certification. 

Electrical Technician Program: This track covers the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. The program can also strengthen a union application. One graduate noted that the nine-month electrical program counted as trade school points toward an IBEW Local 134 application.

We teach both programs in English and Spanish. Our campus features over 10,000 square feet of dedicated lab and shop space where students work on real equipment.
