HVAC Technical Institute invites you to tour our facility; or even sit in for the day in one of our on-going classes. Our small class sizes of 12-20 students makes you a member, not a number. |
|
Facility
HVAC Technical Institute is located just 5 minutes from Midway Airport: 4532 S. Kolin Avenue (2nd Floor), Chicago IL 60632. At HVAC Technical Institute, the emphasis is hands-on training. Our facility of 17,500 square feet is comprised of 7,500 square feet of classroom and office space and 10,000 square feet of lab and shop area. |
| Class
Size HVAC Technical Institute believes, based on previous experience
that every student progresses at different rates. Therefore, we limit
the class size to 20 students. Since on-the-job training is so vital to
our students, we typically have 1 instructor for every 20 students, thereby
assuring each student the optimal personal instruction. |
Tutoring
Policy Due to the fact that our institution trains individuals based
on the "hands-on" method, we strive that every student understands the
material clearly and thoroughly. Unfortunately, not all students learn
in the same way, and some may have difficulty understanding everything
that is taught during class. Therefore all students have the right and
privilege to obtain one-on-one tutoring. As a student, your duty is to
schedule an appointment to receive additional assistance/tutoring.
*Note: See Student Manual for More Details |

Repetition Privileges
All HVAC Technical Institute graduates may return to repeat or reinforce a needed portion of previously completed programs. There is no additional tuition charges unless books/supplies and tool kits need to be purchased; all graduates are welcome to this benefit. All students taking advantage of the repetition privilege must follow the attendance policy. All those failing to adhere to those policies will lose repetition privileges for the future. An additional value-added privilege is that graduates may use the school's sheet metal shop. For all available privileges, students must arrange scheduling with the school director and must be paid up to date. |
